I like how in the footage they show the guy having a safety line, notice the soldier does not? Boy do I remember those days of going up and down lines in the Army... Safety equipment? HA!
This thing is going to go for $10k?! Aren't winches like 200 bucks? I am going to guess that all of the retrofitting to make it handheld + battery powered would account for the nearly $10k.
It is still neat though, and I wish them success, I am surprised no one came up with something like this before.
